Centre for Irish and European Security (CIES)

Address:
3 Clanwilliam Terrace Grand Canal Quay Dublin 2, Ireland

The Centre for Irish and European Security, established in 2008, combines over 30 years of experience, specializing in research and consultation advice in the field of civil security. Our current research focus is directed towards the ethical implications and societal impact of security policy and security technology.

The CIES participates in a number of collaborative EU-funded projects under the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). In addition, the CIES advises European partners of the ethical obligations that must be met by projects at the proposal and research stages, and acts as a project evaluator at the pre-funding stage. We also supplement our EU-funded work with private research and consultancy for indigenous Irish companies and multinationals based in Ireland and abroad.
